Criminon UK

Criminon UK is a registered charity set up in 2003 to provide educational distance learning courses to prisoners and ex-prisoners.

These courses help prisoners change their minds about how they have lived. They teach life skills which had been missed out, often through lack of a good family upbringing. They foster self-trust, and becoming worthy of trust.

Criminon UK delivers courses, three of which are approved by LASER Learning Awards (an OfQual approved organisation, which promotes, develops, accredits and quality assures courses and qualifications at all levels of education and training), and six further specialised courses which teach practical morals and other skills. The courses contain practical drills and exercises as well as study. The exercises bring home to the student why the skills and knowledge are important.

These course are administered by a network of volunteer tutors who work with the prisoner on a one to one basis.
