Black Box

A home for live music, theatre, literature, comedy, film, visual art, science, circus, cabaret and all points in between – The Black Box has been one of Belfast’s most beloved venues since 2006.

The Black Box is also a charity. Part of the work we do is to help remove barriers to access to the arts. We do this by providing affordable room hire rates, hosting many free or low-cost (under £5) events and opening up vital links to people with learning disabilities as part of our outreach work.

Black Moon is a series of events with a monthly club for and by learning disabled people in Belfast at the Black Box, Omagh at the Strule Arts Centre, and various other site around NI. You will be met by our regular meeters and greeters who will take your entry fee and then you will come into the main room where regular resident DJs including Twister Hannah, Tracy, Jones & Watson will be playing all your favourite tunes to dance to. Doors are 7pm to 10pm and it is £3 entry (£1 for parents and carers) Black Moon is an inclusive event. Over 18s only. Please drink responsibly. We also hold Mini-Moon - an event for young children with a learning disability, their families and siblings.
