Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) Northern Ireland is the only charity in Northern Ireland working exclusively on the issue of elder abuse. We seek to protect, and prevent the abuse of, older people. We seek a society which values older people, and where they can live free from abuse.
We work to:
raise awareness of all forms of abuse affecting older people including physical, emotional and sexual abuse, financial abuse and neglect
support those at risk or currently experiencing abuse through our Freephone confidential Elder Abuse Repsonse Helpline 080 8808 8141
provide advice and guidance to anyone concerned about elder abuse including care staff, volunteers, family members and older people themselves
campaign for the best support and prevention framework.
